 Conclusion

After reading and watching the movies and doing some research on both her work and Christianity, a good definition of religion states that – ‘religion helps us to deal with problems of human life that are significant, persistent and intolerable’. -  It is most certain that Suzanne Collins has a burning desire for compassion for human life. Her life experience as a daughter of an army official, who served in the Vietnam War, comes to life in her work. By telling her story in a futuristic world, Collins says, “it gives you freedom to explore the things that bother you in contemporary time”  It is these issues  of war, corruption, uneven distribution of wealth, oppression, severe poverty, starvation and the traumatising effects of war that are bothering her and almost all us today. Even though her media to communicate these issues is most often considered graphic and violent, it is her tool for individuals to distinguish between what is real and not real. Collins' purpose  is to also show us that using a novel,  completely secular in vision, and filled with more than a fair share of violence, hearkens back to the very gnawing of every soul for a happy ending, for justice. It is the same message we find in Christianity and mostly throughout the Gospels, the challenge being, to adapt to a better way of being all humans together in love, unity and justice.(Corinthians 1:10)

Now lets have some fun here, grab a piece of paper and a pen and try to beat my score. "MAY THE ODDS BE EVER IN YOUR FAVOUR "
